PU/PIR Panel Compare

PIR and PUR are two completely different insulation materials, PIR full name polyurethane modified polyisocyanurate, is a kind of
foam by polyurethane modified polyisocyanurate foam, performance and ordinary ammonia, ester there are great differences. Common
polyurethane foam plastics called PUR, polyisocyanurate foam for short PIR.

The difference of production process: the production of PIR is much higher than the production of PUR black material (that is polycyanate) index, which PUR's polycyanate index is generally 110-120, and PIR's polycyanate index is generally 250 or more, and the production of PUR white material generally uses polyether polyol, the production of PIR white material will use polyester polyol.

In addition to the different raw materials, the production of PIR generally uses automatic production lines,
semi-automatic or fully manual production lines cannot meet the production requirements of PIR. Therefore, compared with PUR, the production cost of PIR is higher.
